We will trek via the Marangu route as it is the most comfortable route of all as it has communal huts with sponge mattresses and pillows. Climbers do not have to camp in tents at each end of the day. The distance covered on each day, except for the summit attempt, is shorter compared to the other routes with total hiking distance of about 82km.

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to the city of Moshi for an overnight at a local hotel.

Day 2 - Rest day after the flight at a local hotel. Our guide Noel will also double check everyone's equipment and gear list and weight of expedition bags.

Day 3 - Registration at the Marangu Gage and a 4 hour trek to Mandara camp, which is at the height of 2, 743 meters.

Day 4 - We begin a 6-7 hour trek to Horombo camp situated at 3, 720 meters. The route runs through the rain forest, then goes to the open mountainous terrain: around the alpine meadows and mountain slopes covered with grass, shrubs and flowering plants.

Day 5 - Rest day at Horombo for acclimitisation.

Day 6 - We begin a 6-7 hour trek to Kibo camb stituated at 4,700 meters.

Day 7 - We get an early night on this day as we prepare for an early morning ascent to the Uhuru Peak. We wake up at midnight and start trekking at 1AM for 7-8 hours.
"Congratulations, you are on Uhuru Peak, 5895 m! ". The time we spend on the top, depends on weather conditions. After the summit, we descent all the way to Horombo camp and spent a night there.

Day 8 - After breakfast, we descend all the way back to Marangu gate to collect summit certificates and exit the national park. We drive back to the local hotel for a ceremony of awarding certificates celebrating the achievement of reaching the highest peak in Africa.

Day 9 - After breakfast, we transfer to the airport.
